I did something different today and wrote about angels. Prompted by a drawing club topic this week and influenced by an old, new book on stars. I spent a long weekend without light pollution. Diving back into my roots Astrologically, an obsession with fixed stars.
I’ve been writing lately about golden light. The golden rule. The golden medium and so forth. Now appropriate as ever, a post on Leo star Regulus.
Regulus is the watcher star of the North and is said to represent Archangel Raphael. It’s currently positioned in the first degree of Virgo.
A volcano erupting at night.
Burning through the restrictions of the day. Taking on and transmuting the world of ordinary consciousness. Inwardly erupting with all that it leaves out, you become a conduit for the suppressed, the repressed, and the denied facets of self and life. Exposing yourself to the onslaught of conventional ideas and their consequences. Aching and longing to turn the world around, you are given to subtle or obvious ways to channel and express what lives inside, you feel intensively committed to bringing it all together within the ordinary compass of everyday life. Saturated with deep impressions of what this Earth is moving through, you are being given the chance to stand in for that–to bring it, and perhaps even to become it.
From Inside Degrees by Ellias Lonsdale
Regulus is a legendary star, best known in it’s Biblical roll as the star of Bethlehem. This star in conjunction with Jupiter was the one the Magi’s (Astrologers) followed in order to bless and honor the new King baby Jesus. Magi’s were skilled magicians. Known to manifest their realities using probabilities found in the heavens.
Sitting across from it’s namesake, Regulus is the star responsible for ushering in of the new era, the age of Aquarius. An age rooted in golden love light and christ consciousness. A time when false reality falls away. We are living in this era! We are here for this era! It follows our every footstep. A golden dawn in time.
The heart of the Lion, Regulus bestows a noble honor upon those born around August 24th. It’s name translating literally to “little king”. Those born with planets, cardinal angles or other important natal chart ingredients linked to this area of the wheel are said to be in constant companionship with Archangel Raphael. He never leaves nor stops communication. He is always protecting us. He offers guidance and the answer is always LOVE.
Regulus brings the gifts of healing, prophecy and peace. The word Regulus stems from the same roots of regulate and regal. It means containing rules for guidance. What better example than a true Yeshua setting forth The Golden Rule.. Words to live by. As the christ energy communicates love in order to heal our sick selves, so does this watcher of the North, Archangel Raphael, held in heart in of the Lion. The bright light of Regulus burns a path before us. Taking action to heal.
Tarot: I took influence from these archetypes in choosing the Rider Waite Tarot card “Strength” which is a major Arcana Card. The Strength card perfectly represents the Leo-Virgo cusp. Here the vestal Virgin, Virgo is shown taming a wildly submissive Lion (Kings). Virgo is associated with service, natural healing and feminine magick. While Leo represents pride, creativity and drama. We are leaving the age of false kings in order to crown those who have followed the golden rules of christ.
In these difficult times it’s important to keep our strength in focus. It’s key we use the golden light of love to transmute the darkness. Archangel Raphael is with us. With the symbol of the pentagram evil must flee from us. With the infinite power of love we have nothing to fear. We can tame the most wild of beasts. The christ consciousness is returning. Star Regulus leads our way.
Christ the magician. Feeding weary travelers with alchemical magick. The nutrition of spirituality. Always of service. The language of love.
Wake up ye masses. You have been deceived.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be KING.
